IT company HCL Infosystem reported standalone net profit of Rs 2.56 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2014.
The company had registered a loss of about Rs 15 crore in the same period a year ago.
"Our transformation story is progressing well and is now taking roots. Distribution and Services, our focused growth areas have registered healthy traction," HCL Infosystems Limited Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Harsh Chitale said in a statement.
The income from operations of HCL Infosystems declined by about 30 per cent during the reported period to Rs 1316.49 crore from Rs 1869.84 crore posted in the same period a year ago.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 49.80, down by 6.92 per cent, at BSE today.
