Havells India Ltd. will be expanding its existing manufacturing capacity of cables from 32.90 lakh kms per year to a proposed capacity addition of 41.20 lakh kms per year, according to an exchange filing on the BSE. Its existing capacity utilisation is around 70%.
It has planned to add the proposed capacity by March 2026 in a phased manner. It is planning to invest Rs 375 crore into the expansion and will finance them through internal accrual. It has done so due to increased demand requirements.
Havells India had partnered with Jumbo Group, a distributor of consumer electronics and technology products in the UAE, according to a report by NDTV Profit, for its foray into the kitchen appliances segment in the country.
Havells India's premier kitchen appliances, including mixer grinders, would be first made available online on Jumbo's e-commerce website jumbo.ae followed by retail store distribution.
