Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Happy New Year continues to shatter box-office records. After a record-breaking opening day collection, Happy New Year has set a box-office mark for opening weekend numbers.
Released on Friday, Happy New Year collected Rs. 108.86 crore in its opening weekend across India, said Red Chillies Entertainment.
According to Red Chillies Entertainment, Happy New Year garnered Rs. 104.10 crore from its Hindi version, Rs 2.92 crore from the Telugu dubbed version and Rs. 1.84 crore from the Tamil version.
Produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd and directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year is a heist drama.
Happy New Year had a record breaking opening at the box-office in India, collecting Rs 44.97 crore on Friday.
Speaking on the success of the film, Red Chillies Entertainment CEO Venky Mysore said, "We are thrilled that after Chennai Express had set a new record in 2013, Happy New Year has set another new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience."
