Katri Kulmuni, 31, will become economy minister, the Center Party told reporters in Helsinki on Wednesday.

Caretaker Prime Minister Juha Sipila is stepping down as party leader in September. Other ministers chosen by the party are Antti Kaikkonen as defense minister and Annika Saarikko as minister for science and culture. Agriculture Minister Jari Leppa continues in the position.

The cabinet of Prime Minister designate Antti Rinne is due to be sworn in on Thursday. The Greens chose Pekka Haavisto as foreign minister late on Tuesday, Maria Ohisalo as interior minister and Krista Mikkonen as minister for environment and climate.
