Are there differences in expectations from male leaders versus women leaders? Are women always perceived as primary caretakers first and then as capable leaders? Is being firm always misunderstood for being bossy? Can the gender gap be addressed by women being more confident of their work? How can India Inc. encourage more women participation?

These were some of the questions that dominated a discussion at the forum We The Women. BloombergQuint's Tamanna Inamdar moderated a panel discussion Are Women Leaders Different From Men. On the panel were Facebook's public policy director Ankhi Das, Mann Deshi Mahila Bank's Founder and Chairperson Chetna Sinha, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.'s Global Account Head Farzana Haque, and PwC India partner Nehal Upadhyay.

We The Women, a summit organised by journalist Barkha Dutt at Mehboob Studios last month, was an endeavour to create a space for women to voice issues that they face everyday and try and come up with solutions collectively. BloombergQuint was the media partner.
