With the advent of 2025, Anand Mahindra's reminisced a year of bold achievements for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in his year-end address.

The year 2024 saw Mahindra Susten's renewable energy breakthroughs to the debut of two premium electric SUVs. Here are the business updates listed by the business mogul:

  • Mahindra Susten exceeded its plans for the year, with a cumulative wind pipeline of 3.3GWp, over 60% of its targeted capacity,

  • Mahindra Lifespace redefining the real estate paradigm by scaling rapidly while delivering high-quality sustainable projects in priority markets,

  • Last Mile Mobility continued its leadership position in the electrification of India's three-wheeler market,

  • Mahindra Finance's loan book swelled to over Rs 1.1 lakh crore,

  • The tractor business expanded its dominant position in India amidst competition,

  • Tech Mahindra launched into a new phase of growth — its share price soared by 77%, and the company became the 11th most valuable automobile manufacturer globally, maintaining its position in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the fourth consecutive year.

In his letter, Mahindra emphasised the balance between audacity and integrity, urging employees to uphold the values that have sustained the company since 1945.

He highlighted India's growing geopolitical and economic strength, calling on the group to seize opportunities in the evolving global landscape. "India is no longer the 99-pound lightweight on the beach. It can demonstrate military might," said Mahindra.

With the Cambridge Dictionary naming "Manifest" as 2024's word of the year, Mahindra inspired his team to visualise and actively shape a better future. "That tells me that no matter how uncertain the world is, how unpredictable the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune' are, people still believe that they can visualise and manifest a better life and a better world," he said.

Mahindra concluded optimistically, championing the ethos of "Rising to take charge of our destiny" for 2025.
