Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd announced on Tuesday that A Balasubramanian has been reappointed as Managing Director for the next three years.
The decision was made upon the recommendation of the Nomination, Remuneration and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, the company said in a stock exchange notification on Tuesday.
Balasubramanian, who has been with the organisation since 1995, served as Chief Investment Officer from 2006 to 2009 before becoming the CEO in 2009.
As Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Balasubramanian oversees over Rs 3.20 lakh crore in Assets Under Management at Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC. He has completed Advanced Management Programs at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Harvard Business School. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Science (Mathematics) and a Master's degree in Business Administration from GlobalNxt University.
Separately, Vishal Shah has been appointed as Head of Internal Audit (Senior Management Personnel) of the company, effective Wednesday.
Shares of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC rose 0.3% to Rs 657.10, compared with a 0.6% rise in the country's benchmark NSE Nifty 50.
