Sometimes, technology does more than just make life convenient—it actually saves lives. That's exactly what happened in Florida, where Apple iPhone's Siri assistant helped a 70-year-old man named Daniel Vallaire, and gave him a second chance at life.

As per WSVN, Daniel suddenly suffered a killer stroke while he was in the bathroom all alone and collapsed. As he wasn't able to move, he spent around 48 hours lying on the floor. Somehow, he managed to get himself to the living room where he kept his phone. Although he was not in a place to pick up his iPhone and dial, he asked Siri to call his daughter, Victoria.

Victoria immediately called 911 and the paramedics arrived soon thereafter and provided life-saving treatment to Daniel.

After surviving the life-threatening incident, Daniel revealed what really happened and how his life was saved, “I said, ‘Siri, call Victoria Vallaire,' and she did. If I had a landline, there's no way I would have been able to get to it. If this had happened without [Siri], I wouldn't be here.”

Notably, Apple has been integrating more emergency-response features into its iPhones, Apple Watches and other gadgets, making them more than just everyday tools. The Apple Watch, for example, has Fall Detection and heart monitoring features that have helped users in critical moments during medical emergencies. Meanwhile, the Emergency SOS via satellite function allows people to reach out for help even in areas with no signal.

This heart-warming story is yet another reminder that technology isn't just about convenience—it can be a real lifesaver.
