Many GTA fans believe that it's only a matter of days until Rockstar Games will drop the second trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) in April. And the recent GTA 5 Enhanced for free on PC update may well be giving us a sneak peek at some GTA 6 features. It has been more than a year since the first GTA 6 trailer was released, giving hints about the plot, protagonists and what to expect from the upcoming adventure video game.

Rumours about the second GTA 6 trailer dropping in April were first shared by GTA VI O'Clock, which cited internal sources. They also pointed out that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has reaffirmed the Fall 2025 release timeline. This makes sense for the trailer to be released six months ahead, which aligns with the company's traditional marketing timeline strategy.

In the first trailer, fans were already introduced to powerful visuals, and the first-ever playable female protagonist Lucia, among other things. With the second trailer, fans can look forward to more clues about new features.

The release may be overwhelming for many die-hard fans, as it comes nearly a decade after GTA 5's launch in 2013. This makes the upcoming launch even more exciting for gamers, especially given how much the industry has changed over the past decade.

Luckily, Rockstar Games' recent release of GTA 5 Enhanced on PC gives us a glimpse of the technological advancements we can expect in GTA 6. The next instalment in the series is set to have superior graphics and performance capabilities. According to a report by UK’s Eurogamer, the GTA 5 enhanced release has presented gamers with interesting features such as its ability to toggle ray-traced (RT) global illumination. Hence, these advanced RT features are also likely to appear in GTA 6, enhancing its visual quality.

Many fans also pointed out that the first trailer revealed a per-pixel RTGI implementation in GTA 6. This means the game will feature enhanced lighting effects, particularly with emissive materials, pushing the visual boundaries for a more immersive experience.

The first trailer shows GTA 6's RTGI feature will be advanced. According to the Eurogamer report, the RTX 4060 graphics card can run the game smoothly at 60fps, even with all settings maxed out, even in heavy traffic. This suggests the game will offer high-quality visuals but will be optimised for powerful hardware.

Such powerful features, if they are present on GTA 6, also mean a heavy load on the GPU overall.
