Apple iPhone Fold’s Price In India —Here’s What New Leak Says
The iPhone Fold might be more expensive than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Apple’s first foldable phone might not be easy on the pocket, but then again, it’s Apple. New leaks reveal the much-awaited iPhone Fold may be closer to $2,000 to $2,300 (roughly Rs 2 lakh in India after accounting for taxes and import duties). It's based on a popular tipster, Instant Digital, which suggests that the price secures a healthy profit margin from the usual Apple levels.
To put it simply, the iPhone Fold might be more expensive than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 (around $1,900) and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold ($1,800). Yes, it could cost almost twice the current iPhone 16 Pro Max that starts at $1,199.
But what makes this foldable so expensive?
For starters, Apple is reportedly using some very fancy materials. According to leaks, it has a liquid metal hinge, which is stronger than titanium. In terms of durability, that’s a big promise. Samsung will also be handling screen duties with a 5.5-inch cover display and a larger 7.8-inch foldable main screen inside.
The phone could be impressively thin, just 4.5 to 4.8mm when opened up. It is foldable, and is supposed to measure 9 to 9.5mm.
About the launch, whispers reveal the iPhone Fold could debut next year. Of course, Apple hasn't made any official comment yet, but the excitement is high.
Apple could get away with the sky-high price if it has its signature software experience and long-term support for loyal fans. All eyes are on how Apple intends to leave its mark in the foldable phone space, although it’s still early days.
Apple’s presence in the foldable market could force other brands to ramp up things. It's not just about screens bending, it's also about how perfectly the rest of the experience feels.
