The auction for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 is set to go live from 2:30 PM IST from the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai on February 13, 2023. You can get all the latest updates from the WPL 2023 auction on this live blog. Here are key points about this auction:
1. A total of 409 players are available in the auction for teams to bid on. Among these, there are 246 Indian players and 163 international players.
2. 24 players out of these 409 have set their base prices at the highest level, i.e. at ₹50 crore, of which there are 14 international and 10 Indian players.
3. A total of 5 teams are going to bid in this WPL auction and every individual team has a maximum purse of ₹12 crore to spend on acquiring the players in the auction.
4. Each team can buy a total of 18 players.
