LSG Squad IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants Full Schedule, Captain, List Of Retained Players And More

The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to begin on March 22. One of the most consistent teams over the last three seasons, Lucknow Super Giants will hope to win their maiden IPL title this year under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant.

KL Rahul led LSG through their first three IPL seasons (2022-2024), taking the team to the playoffs in their first two campaigns, though they failed to reach the final in either year. The 2024 season, however, was a setback, with LSG finishing seventh on the points table.

The franchise splashed out Rs 27 crore to sign Pant, who also emerged as the costliest player at the mega auction. Having spent his entire IPL career with Delhi Capitals, Pant has never been able to win the T20 competition.

The left-hander has vowed to give his "200 percent" to win the team's maiden title. LSG will open their campaign with an away game against DC on March 24.  

Lucknow Super Giants spent Rs 68.89 crore to acquire 19 players at the two-day mega auction. The franchise signed the South African duo of Aiden Markram and David Miller to bolster their batting unit. Australian all-rounder Michel Marsh also joined LSG for Rs 3.4 crore.

Akash Deep, who secured an Rs 8-crore deal, will spearhead their pace department along with Avesh Khan. Ahead of the auction, LSG had retained five players, including wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran and spinner Ravi Bishnoi.

As per LSG's website, Lance Klusener, Pravin Tambe and Sridharan Sriram are the assistant coaches of Lucknow Super Giants for IPL 2025.
