India vs England Test Series 2025: Dates, Timings, Schedule, Venues, Squads, Live Streaming And More

The next cycle of the World Test Championship (WTC) will begin from June 17 with the inaugural match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. India will begin their WTC 2025-27 journey with the match against England.

The five-match Test series will start with the first faceoff at Headingley on June 20. 

The Indian squad will be led by the newly appointed captain, Shubman Gill. He was picked as captain following Rohit Sharma's retirement. At the same time, Rishabh Pant has been promoted to vice-captain. 

One of the key players for India in the series will be pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The right-arm fast bowler was tipped to become the captain following Sharma’s retirement, but concerns surrounding his workload management paved the way for Gill to get the top job. It remains to be seen if Bumrah will play all the matches in the series.  

Till now, Gill has not captained India in Test matches or ODIs. The upcoming series will be his first full tour of England. Further, Team India will be without Virat Kohli, who has also retired from the format.

The India vs England test series will commence on June 20 at Leeds. The final test match is scheduled to be held on July 31. All matches will begin at 3:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time (IST).

The India vs England test series will be played at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds, Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, Lord's Cricket Ground in London, Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester and Kennington Oval in London.
