We recently interacted with the management of La Opala RG Ltd. to get some perspective on demand trends, status of expansion plans in opalware and borosilicate categories and the overall competitive scenario.
The management sounded confident about the overall demand environment across channels and expects the share of e-commerce (~6%) to rise further.
Change in the distribution strategy, which includes addition as well as consolidation of distributors, channel financing arrangement for distributors etc., has led to overall strong performance.
Since gifting forms a large part of demand for its products, La Opala expects strong growth considering the number of marriages happening in India. Naturally, the catering business will also drive growth, which was muted during Covid-19.
