WATCH: TCS Q3 Press Conference Live As Profit Of IT Giant Rises; Dividend Announced

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. announced its quarterly results for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024 on Thursday. TCS' net profit rose 4.1% to Rs 12,444 crore, which is in line with the consensus estimate of Rs 12,537 crore shared by analysts tracked by Bloomberg.

The IT giant also announced a third interim dividend of Rs 10 and a special dividend of Rs 66 per equity share of Rs 1 each of the company.

"The third interim dividend and the special dividend shall be paid on Monday, February 3, 2025, to the equity shareholders of the Company, whose names appear on the Register of Members of the Company or in the records of the Depositories as beneficial owners of the shares as on Friday, January 17, 2025, which is the Record Date fixed for the purpose," the company said in an exchange filing.

The leadership team of TCS will now address the media in a press conference at 5:30 p.m. The interaction will be telecast live on NDTV Profit channel and also streamed live on NDTV Profit's YouTube channel.

Shares of TCS on Thursday closed 1.72% lower at Rs 4,036.65 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 0.68% decline in the benchmark Sensex.

Meanwhile, the company in a statement said its employee base decreased over 5,000 to 6,07,354 at the end of the quarter. Attrition rate in the quarter inched up to 13% from 12.3% in last quarter.
