Poland Says Navalny Poisoning Shows Russia Is ‘Hostile Regime’

Poland said it's time for the world to realize that Russia is a “hostile regime” and to take action.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Twitter that Russia was behind a number of international incidents from the invasion of Georgia in 2008 to activities in Crimea and Donbas from 2014.

He blamed Moscow for the downing of passenger flight MH17 over Ukraine and for poisonings, including that of opposition leader Alexey Navalny. Russia has denied any role in the downing of MH17 and rejected allegations of any official involvement in Navalny's illness.

“How many wake-up calls do we need to finally realize that we are dealing with a hostile regime?,” Morawiecki wrote on Thursday. “Dialog, partnership, compromise -- these are alien words to them. Time to draw conclusions.”
