Dignitaries meeting Modi included Elon Musk, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ray Dalio, Paul Romer, Bob Thruman and Nicholas Nassim Taleb, along with noted U.S. academics.

The day will be packed: meetings planned with President Joe Biden, senior American leaders, CEOs and members of the diaspora.

PM Modi left for Washington D.C. after a series of events in New York which included a grand International Yoga Day celebration at the United Nations. He will meet President Joe Biden and senior American political leaders at the U.S. capital.


PM's Yoga Event At UN Sets Guinness Record

The yoga celebration at the UN headquarters, led by Prime Minister Modi, set the Guinness World Record for the most nations represented in a single yoga session.

PM Narendra Modi addressed the crowd attending the 9th International Day of Yoga celebrations at the UN headquarters in New York.

"I remember, about 9 years ago, right here at the UN, I had the honour to give a proposal on celebrating the International Day of Yoga on 21st June. It was wonderful to see the entire world come together to support the idea back then," the PM said.

He also interacted with children who participated in the yoga session.
