(Bloomberg) -- Bulgarian police clashed with demonstrators protesting against Covid measures in front of the parliament Wednesday in Sofia, the capital.
Hundreds of people took part in a demonstration led by a nationalist party against the need for a certificate showing either vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 for most public activities.
Live TV footage showed people throwing objects at hundreds of police. Law enforcement reported four officers hurt after an attempt to stop protesters from storming the parliament. At least one person was detained before the demonstration for carrying a gas pistol, police said in an email.
