(Bloomberg) -- Spain has already overcome the peak of the coronavirus epidemic and will now focus on bending the infection curve, according to Health Minister Salvador Illa.
“We've reached the peak of the epidemic and the goal we have this week is to consolidate the second stage and bend the curve” of infections, Illa said Monday in a news conference.
With 3,477 new cases detected over the last 24 hours, Spain reported Monday the lowest number of new infections since March 20, as well as a decrease in its death toll.
