Pimco’s Head of Canada Portfolio Management Is Leaving Firm

(Bloomberg) -- Ed Devlin, head of Canadian portfolio management at Pimco Investment Management Co., is leaving the firm after more than a decade.

Devlin's portfolio-management responsibilities will be handed over to a team led by Marc Seidner, a managing director and chief investment officer in non-traditional strategies, said Agnes Crane, a spokeswoman for Newport Beach, California-based Pimco. The group also includes David Braun, a managing director and portfolio manager, and Vinayak Seshasayee, who is executive vice president and portfolio manager.

“Ed's expertise and knowledge has been critical to the creation of Pimco Canadian business and its growth over many years,” Crane said in an email Friday.

Devlin, who is a managing director, joined Pimco in 2006 after working at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and Merrill Lynch & Co., according to his biography on the asset manager's website.

The team will also work closely with Tiffany Wilding, an executive vice president and North America economist, who will provide continuity in the analysis of Canadian macroeconomic and policy outlook, the press officer said.
