More than 200 flights to and from various airports have been cancelled by airlines, with IndiGo alone cancelling around 160 flights, according to PTI. sources.

At least 18 airports in the northern and western parts of the country have been temporarily shut for operations, amid restrictions in the wake of the armed forces launching missile attacks against Pakistan on Wednesday morning. The airports are closed for commercial aircraft till 5:29 a.m. on May 10, as per PTI sources.
IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and Akasa Air, along with a few foreign airlines, cancelled their services to and from various airports. The major airlines issued advisories in the wee hours of Wednesday, as several airports in northern India will remain closed, amid the escalation of India-Pakistan tensions.

Indian defence forces carried out a missile strike targeting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir in the early hours of Wednesday. As part of Operation Sindoor, the forces targeted Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke among other place.
The action came as a retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead.
