The New Delhi World Book Fair kicked off today, bringing excitement to bibliophiles in the national capital. This year’s theme, ‘Republic@75,’ celebrates India’s establishment as a democratic republic with the implementation of the Constitution in 1950.  The event is being organised by the National Book Trust of India under the Ministry of Education.

New Delhi World Book Fair 2025: Date And Time

The New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 began on Saturday, Feb. 1, and will run until Sunday, Feb. 9. It will be open to the public daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 Venue

The New Delhi World Book Fair is being organised at the Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It will be spread out through Hall Nos. 2-6 of the Bharat Mandapam.

New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 Tickets

Tickets for the New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 can be booked both online and offline. To book online tickets, visit the official website of the National Book Trust. Tickets are usually available one or two days before the event starts or on the day of the event. The ticket prices have been kept affordable to ensure greater attendance. Additionally, the NBT is offering discounts for students, children, and other categories. 

Tickets to the book fair will also be available offline at select metro stations.

All About New Delhi World Book Fair 2025

Touted as the “Maha Kumbh of books”, the New Delhi World Book Fair brings together people who love and breathe books. 

“The theme of the Fair is focussed on Republic@75 with the slogan ‘We, the people of India’. It will commemorate and celebrate the idea and creation of India as a Republic celebrating its ideals of nation-building, freedom, cultural diversity, and advancements in education,” says Mr. Yuvraj Malik, Director, National Book Trust,’ said National Book Trust Director Yuvraj Malik.

The book fair, featuring over 2,000 publishers and exhibitors, 1,000 plus speakers, and 600 plus literature and cultural stations, is poised to rekindle interest in culture, literature, art, and reading.
