Coldplay Mumbai Concert: Opening Acts, Schedule, How To Reach Venue And Other Tips

British rock band Coldplay is set to perform at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on Jan. 18, Jan. 19 and Jan. 21. The tickets for the concert sold like hotcakes when bookings opened in November 2024.

While the British band will start its performance at 7:45 p.m. on the mentioned dates, the gates for the concert at DY Patil Stadium will open at 3 p.m.

Coldplay Concert: Full Schedule And Timings

The inaugural performance at the Coldplay concert will begin at 5:15 p.m. with the performance of French modern Hip Hop artist Shone. Palestinian singer-songwriter Elyanna will begin her performance at 5:45 p.m. This will be followed by Indian artist Jasleen Royal’s performance at 6:30 p.m., after which the Chris Martin-led band will set the stage on fire.

The band comprises Martin on vocals and piano, Jonny Buckland on guitar, Guy Berryman on bass and Will Champion on drums and percussion. Phil Harvey is the band manager.

The gates at the venue will open at 3 p.m. and close at 7:45 p.m. It is a four-hour concert overall.

Artists like Shone, Elyanna and Jasleen Royal will grace the stage before the final act of the evening by Coldplay.

Shone is a French modern Hip Hop artist while Elyanna is a Palestinian singer-songwriter. Singer-songwriter Jasleen Royal needs no introduction to an Indian audience.

Coldplay Concert: How To Reach The Venue

Ahead of the concert, event manager BookMyShow has asked participants to plan their travel ahead of time. To avoid road congestion and traffic, concertgoers have been asked to opt for public transport.

The closest railway station to gates 2, 3, 4 or 5 is Juinagar Railway Station, while Nerul railway station is the closest to gates 6, 7, 8 or 9. 

The closest bus stops to the venue are DY Patil Stadium Bus Stop and SIES College Bus Stop, which are a five-minute walk away.

It must be noted that there are no parking spots at the venue.

One can access gates 2, 3, 4 and 5 from the service road and gates 6, 7, and 8, and via the New Hospital Site Gate, Architecture College Gate or Temple Gate.

  • All concert attendees under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, with a valid ticket to enter the venue.

  • Large bags, backpacks and strollers are not permitted. Opt for carrying smaller purses or fanny packs.

  • All electronic devices except mobile phones are not permitted.

  • Remember to carry your wristbands and top them up in advance.

  • Prioritise safety, avoid pushing overcrowding or stopping in walkways.

  • Stay hydrated and refreshed.
