Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Add Rs 75,315 Crore In Market Cap
The benchmark indices extended their gains for the third consecutive day, with realty, and oil and gas sectors leading the advances.
The top 10 most-valued firms added a cumulative Rs 75,315 crore in market capitalisation on Thursday.
Reliance Industries Ltd. led the pack with an addition of Rs 23,749 crore, bringing its total market cap to Rs 16.96 lakh crore. Bharti Airtel Ltd. followed with an increase of Rs 22,954 crore, reaching a market cap of Rs 9.35 lakh crore. HDFC Bank Ltd. added Rs 10,859 crore to its market cap, which now stands at Rs 12.94 lakh crore.
ICICI Bank Ltd. saw its market capitalisation rise to Rs 8.8 lakh crore, an increase of Rs 4,870 crore. State Bank of India added Rs 3,703 crore to its market cap, reaching Rs 6.81 lakh crore.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. saw an increase of Rs 5,826 crore, bringing its market cap to Rs 5.66 lakh crore. ITC Ltd. also experienced growth, with its market cap rising by Rs 3,315 crore to Rs 5.46 lakh crore.
Infosys Ltd. experienced a decline, with its market cap falling to Rs 7.72 lakh crore, a decrease of Rs 8,844 crore.
In the broader market, shares of RIL, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Bharat Electronics Ltd. were the top gainers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks. Conversely, shares of Tata Motors Ltd., Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. were among the losers.
