Stock Market Today: Sensex Soars Nearly 3,000 Points; Nifty Ends At Over Six-Month High As India-Pakistan Tension Eases
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 912.80 points or 3.80% higher at 24,920.80, the highest level since Oct 16, 2024.
The BSE Sensex ended 2,975.43 points or 3.74% higher at 82,429.90, the highest level since Oct 3, 2024.
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex posted the best session since Feb 2, 2021 with 3.90% and 3.83% intraday gains, respectively.
The Nifty IT is the best performer. It ended 6.70% higher at 38,282.55, the highest level since March 5, 2018.
The Nifty Pharma rose the least. It ended 0.15% higher at 21,102.70.
The NSE Nifty Midcap 150 ended 3.75% higher at 20,331.50.
The NSE Nifty Smallcap 250 ended 4% higher at 15,684.20

This directive is due to compliance issues related to environmental regulations. The company is expected to address these concerns promptly to resume operations.
