Stock Market Today: Nifty, Sensex End Little Changed As HDFC Bank's Gains Offset Infosys' Losses

• Nifty and Sensex end lower on Wednesday with the latter extending its loss for the third day.

• Intraday, both Nifty and Sensex had fallen nearly 0.70%.

• Nifty ends 0.13% or 29.85 points up at 22,470.50.

• Sensex ends 0.10% or 72.56 points lower at 74,029.76.

• Broader indices also closed lower. Nifty Midcap 150 ended 0.51% lower; Nifty Smallcap 250 closed 0.27% lower.

• Most sectoral indices rose with Nifty finance leading the gains. Nifty IT and Nifty Realty led the decline.

• The market breadth was skewed in the favour of sellers, as 2,484 stocks declined, 1,498 advanced and 140 remained unchanged on the BSE.

• HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra, ITC, Reliance Industries and Bajaj Finance emerged as the top gainers for the day.

• On the other hand, Infosys, TCS, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel and HCL Tech were the worst performers of the Nifty 50 index.

Over 1.6 million shares of Infosys were traded via a block deal on Wednesday. The share of Infosys fell as much as 4.53% to Rs 1,586.35 apiece.
