Stock Market At Closing: Sensex Ends 1,397 Point Lower As Tariff Fears Ease; Nifty Closes Below 23,800
Nifty and Sensex snaps two day fall to close higher.
Intraday, both Nifty had risen 1.72%, while Sensex rises 1.91%.
Nifty ends 1.62% or 378.20 points up at 23,739.25.
Sensex ends 1.81% or 1,397.07 points lower at 77,583.81.
Broader indices also closed lower. Nifty Midcap 100 ended 1.56% lower; Nifty Smallcap 250 closed 1.14% lower.
Most sectoral indices rose with Nifty Oil and Gas falling the most.
Shriram Finance, L&T, BEL and Adani Ports were top Nifty gainers.
Trent, ITC Hotels, Britannia, Hero Motors fell the most.
