UltraTech Cement Ltd.'s share price fell 5% on Thursday, after the company announced its foray into the cables and wires business on Tuesday.
This diversification aims to expand UltraTech’s presence in the construction value chain and meet the growing demand for cables and wires across various sectors, including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial applications, the company said.
KEI Industries
Shares of KEI Industries Ltd. took a sharp hit during early trade on Thursday, after UltraTech Cement Ltd. announced plans to enter the cables and wires business.
KEI Industries shares declined as much as 20% during the day to Rs 3,038.3 apiece on the NSE.

Zomato
Zomato’s share price rose 0.83% to Rs 227.50 apiece, as the stock has been named the idea of the month by Emkay Global Financial Services. The quick commerce platform is expected to benefit from a rebound in discretionary consumption in the second half of 2025 and greater value capture by digital disruptors in consumer businesses.
SRF
SRF Ltd. received a target price hike from Emkay, with the brokerage expecting a pick-up in the company’s specialty chemicals business, driven by the stabilisation of existing products.
Emkay maintained a 'buy' rating on the stock, raising the target price to Rs 3,250 per share.
SRF stock rose as much as 3.48% during the day to Rs 2,864.5 apiece on the NSE.
KPI Green Energy
KPI Green Energy Ltd.'s share price rose over 4% after it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the New and Renewable Energy Department of the Madhya Pradesh government. The company will develop renewable energy projects totaling 1.8 GW.
This agreement was formalised at the Global Summit 2025, held in Bhopal on Feb. 24, 2025.
Coforge
Shares of Coforge Ltd. fell on Thursday after the company announced an upcoming board meeting to discuss a potential stock split. The board of directors is scheduled to meet on March 4, 2025, to consider the proposal of altering the company’s share capital by subdividing the existing equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each.
Shares of Coforge fell as much as 1.66% to Rs 7,507 apiece.
