From Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises To HCL Tech, HUL: Nifty Top Gainers And Losers On Jan. 14

The Nifty and the BSE Sensex snapped their four-session fall. The Nifty 50 ended 121.65 points, or 0.53% higher at 23,207.60, and the Sensex ended up 169.62 points, or 0.22% at 76,499.63.

Share prices of Adani Enterprises Ltd., Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., NTPC Ltd., and Shriram Finance Ltd. were the top gainers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks.

Among the losers were shares of HCLTechnologies Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd., Titan Co. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

The Nifty and the BSE Sensex snapped their four-session fall. The Nifty 50 ended 121.65 points, or 0.53% higher at 23,207.60, and the Sensex ended up 169.62 points, or 0.22% at 76,499.63.

Top Gainers

Adani Enterprises rose the most among Nifty stocks after falling consecutively for four sessions. It rose as much as 8.9% intraday before ending over 7% up. This was followed by Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd. which also rose after four-session fall.

Hindalco Industries, another top gainer, rose after two sessions of fall. The stock had hit Rs 562 on Monday, its lowest level since April 2, 2024. Shriram Finance snapped its seven-session losing streak and rose after touching Rs 518.30 intraday, its lowest since June 13.

NTPC was also among top Nifty gainer. Like the benchmark Nifty 50, the stock came out of its four-session fall.

Top Losers

HCLTechnologies saw the steepest fall among Nifty stocks and hit its lowest since Nov. 6. The stock reacted to its third quarter results on Tuesday, as analysts raised valuation concerns after revenue guidance revision by the company.

This was followed by Hindustan Unilever Ltd., which fell after five-sessions of gains. The stock fell amid the overall weakness in the sector. Nifty FMCG along with Nifty IT were the only sectoral indices in the red on Tuesday.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprises fell to hit Rs 6,683.10, its lowest level since Nov. 19. The stock, along with Titan Co. and TCS, was also among top losers.
