Cyient Share Price Drops Over 20% To New All-Time Low After Q3 Net Profit Fall

Cyient Ltd.’s share price tumbled 20.41% reaching a new all time low at Rs 1,397.05, after the company reported a decline in its net profit for the third quarter of fiscal 2025. The engineering and IT services company's quarterly results, announced on Thursday, showed a drop of 31.7% in net profit.
For the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024, Cyient reported a net profit of Rs 122.3 crore, down from Rs 179 crore in the previous quarter. Despite the drop in profit, the company saw a modest increase in its revenue, which rose by 4.2% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 1,926.4 crore, compared to Rs 1,849 crore in the second quarter.
The company’s performance was also reflected in its margin, which slipped to 11% in Q3 from 12.5% in the preceding quarter. The decline in Ebit to Rs 211 crore, from Rs 231 crore in the previous quarter, further impacted investor confidence, as the company’s profitability took a hit.
The revenue from the company’s global services business, which is a key segment for Cyient, grew by 4.2% to Rs 1,926 crore, signaling some growth despite the broader challenges.

The stock has fallen 31.49% in the last 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 43 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 22.
