10 Most-Valued Firms Gain Rs 14,762 Crore In Market Cap Led By TCS, ICICI Bank

The top 10 most-valued firms gain cumulative Rs 14,762 crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. emerging as the biggest gainers.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. witnessed a sharp gain among the top 10 most valued firms, with a gain of Rs 8,936 crore, bringing its market capitalisation to Rs 14.23 lakh crore. Similarly, ICICI Bank Ltd. saw an increase of Rs 7,128 crore in its market cap, which now stands at Rs 8.8 lakh crore.
Infosys Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. witnessed a market capitalisation gain of Rs 4,048 crore and Rs 1,556 crore, respectively.
Bharti Airtel Ltd. and ITC Ltd. witnessed a market capitalisation gain of Rs 1,395 crore and Rs 688 crore, respectively.
State Bank of India witnessed a loss among the top 10 most valued firms, with a loss of Rs 4,908 crore, bringing its market capitalisation up to Rs 6.44 lakh crore. Similarly, HDFC Bank Ltd. saw a decrease of Rs 2,179 crore in its market cap, which now stands at Rs 12.96 lakh crore.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Bajaj Finance witnessed significant market capitalisation losses of Rs 869 crore and Rs 1,033 crore, respectively.
Bajaj Finance Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. witnessed a market capitalisation gain of Rs 903 crore and Rs 70.58 crore, respectively.
Reliance Industries Ltd. retained its position as the most valued firm, followed by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ITC, and Bajaj Finance.
Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. and Axis Bank Ltd. were the top losers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks on Friday.
Meanwhile, ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd. and Nestle India Ltd. were among stocks that gained.
The benchmark indices declined on Friday to extend losses to eight consecutive days, the longest streak since February 2023. Media, pharmaceutical and energy sectors declined the most during the session. The Nifty 50 fell as much as 1.1%, and the BSE Sensex declined 0.92%.
