Dharman To Begin Final Schedule In November?
Dharman, starring Rajinikanth in the lead, reportedly began production earlier in 2026 and has been progressing steadily. According to a report by Valai Pechu, the makers are expected to take a break during October before returning to the sets in November for the film's final shooting schedule.
The report further suggests that the team is looking to complete the remaining portions during the November schedule, with Pongal 2027 being considered as a potential theatrical release window.

However, neither the shooting schedule nor the release plans have been officially announced by the makers. Therefore, the November schedule and Pongal 2027 release should be treated as unconfirmed reports at this stage.
The project was earlier referred to by its tentative title Thalaivar173. Rajinikanth is reportedly set to play a stylish doctor in the film, with Simran Bagga, Yogi Babu and Raashii Khanna also part of the cast.

Dharman Cast And Crew
Ashwath Marimuthu, who has directed films such as Oh My Kadavule and Dragon, is helming the upcoming project, while Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the film's music and background score.
Niketh Bommireddy is handling the cinematography, while Pradeep E. Ragav is responsible for editing. Action sequences are being choreographed by the Anbariv duo.
Details about the film's storyline are currently being kept under wraps. Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Ram Pothineni could portray the primary antagonist. His casting, however, has not been officially confirmed by the makers.
Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 Release
Before Dharman, Rajinikanth is set to return to the big screen with Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The sequel follows retired police officer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian as he faces a new threat connected to the events of the first film.
The action entertainer features SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mithun Chakraborty and Vidya Balan in key roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 15, 2026.
Jailer 2 is also expected to feature several prominent names in cameo appearances, including Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar and Vijay Sethupathi.
