The final rites of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle will take place on Monday afternoon at Shivaji Park with full state honours.
The iconic 92-year-old, whose voice defined Bollywood for over seven decades with countless timeless songs, passed away on Sunday at Breach Candy Hospital following multi-organ failure.
Later, her mortal remains were brought back to her home in Lower Parel.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid last respects to Bhosle at her residence on Sunday evening and offered floral tributes.
State Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, along with legislators Sunil Shinde and Prasad Lad, also paid their respects.

"Asha Bhosle will be accorded a state funeral, which will take place at 4 pm on April 13," Shelar said.
The singer's son, Anand, said people can pay their last respects to her at 11 am on Monday at Casa Grande, Lower Parel, where she lived. "Her last rites will be performed at 4 pm on Monday at Shivaji Park," he told reporters.
Tributes poured in from across the country, with political leaders and members of the film and music fraternity remembering her immense contribution and enduring legacy.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal called her a “jewel of India,” saying, “It is extremely distressing. She was one of the jewels of India... We will miss her. I pray for her family to bear this irreparable loss.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari reflected on their bond, stating, “Asha tai and I shared a very close relationship... Her passing is a great loss to her family and to all of us.”
West Bengal Chief Minister wrote, "Profoundly saddened by the demise of the great musical genius Asha Bhosle... My heartfelt condolences to her family and fraternity and millions of her fans all over the world."
Delhi Chief Minister said, "That golden note of music has fallen silent today... Her legacy will forever inspire generations to come." Singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan added, “A very sad day for all of us... Every Indian is heartbroken today.”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated, "This is a very sad time for music lovers... The service she has rendered to music throughout India's history is truly commendable."
Ashatai, as the legendary singer was popularly known, was a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan awards.
