Delhi Election 2025 Results Live: Arvind Kejriwal Loses New Delhi Seat
Former CM and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has lost his New Delhi constituency by over 4,000 votes to BJP challenger Parvesh Sahib Singh. The leader garnered 26,000 votes.
Interestingly, Congress candidate Sandeep Dixit has secured over 4,000 votes, a figure similar to Kejriwal's defeat margin.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to end the Aam Aadmi Party's 10-year rule in the national capital and its own 27-year drought from power. As per trends at 4:50 p.m. on the Election Commission website, the BJP has won 40 seats and leading on eight seats. The AAP has secured 19 seats and is ahead in three. The Congress has drawn a blank.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has applauded the BJP's performance and is set to address party workers later this evening.

"I would like to thank the people of Delhi. This is the victory of PM Modi. We had contested the election under his leadership. Following my resignation (from AAP), I had said that this is not the same AAP that it was in 2015, and people of Delhi have given an answer to this," said BJP's Bijwasan candidate Kailash Gahlot. He won the election.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has handed the Aam Aadmi Party a stunning defeat in the Delhi assembly elections to return to power in the national capital after 27 years. As of 2:30 pm on Saturday, the BJP had won 11 out of the 70 seats in the legislative assembly and was leading in 37, according to the Election Commission of India.
The AAP secured 10 seats and was ahead in 12, while the Congress drew a blank. As compared to the last assembly polls in 2020, the BJP improved its vote share by 8 percentage points to 45.95% while the AAP’s vote share eroded by 10 percentage points to 43.68%, as per the trends shared by ECI so far.
