Toothpaste and toothbrush major, Colgate Palmolive India Ltd., has reduced product prices in the range of 5-10 percent extending the tax benefits the company has got under the Goods and Services Tax regime to consumers.
The overall tax incidence on toothpaste fell to 18 percent from 24 percent under the new indirect tax regime
The company has reduced the price of its Colgate Strong Teeth 100 gms toothpaste to Rs 46 from Rs 52 earlier, while the price of Colgate Cibaca 30 gms toothpaste has been reduced to Rs 11 from Rs 12 earlier.
