(Bloomberg) -- French consumer confidence surged to its highest level in a decade after Emmanuel Macron's first month in office. Sentiment rose to 108, it's best reading since June 2007 when Nicolas Sarkozy was just beginning his five-year term as president, national statistics office Insee said. Consumers reported improvements in personal finances, ability to save and readiness to make significant purchases.
