Track the second Covid-19 wave in India & the vaccination efforts here.
Fully vaccinated travellers will no longer have to produce a negative RT-PCR test result before entering Maharashtra, provided that 15 days have lapsed since the second dose was taken.
The exemption will be applicable for domestic and international travellers, an order issued by the chief secretary said. The interval for the validity of the RT-PCR test for all the other passengers will be now 72 hours instead of 48 hours.
The daily fatality rate remained below 1,000 for a second day after India recorded 2,020 deaths on Tuesday. Madhya Pradesh had reported an additional 1,481 deaths after district administrations cleared a backlog and uploaded information on the 'Sarthak' portal.
