Indian Consulate In Shanghai Issues Notice Over Covid Lockdown In City
The Consulate General of India, Shanghai said it will "remain inaccessible and not be in a position to provide consular services in person", in view of the Covid-19 lockdown imposed in Shanghai.
It added that Indian citizens in Eastern China can visit the Indian Embassy in Beijing for any urgent services and that the consulate will remain operational online.

Fresh Covid-19 cases in India outpaced daily recoveries for the first time since Jan. 24.
India reported a rise in cases after seeing a drop below 1,000 for two consecutive days. The country added 1,088 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry update as of 8 a.m. on April 13.
Single-day recoveries stood at 1,081.
