The government has launched 5-day campaign to speed-up the vaccination drive in the country. The Tika Utsav is aimed at citizens above the age of 45 years to get vaccinated.

Maharashtra continues to be one of the most affected states, with the local administration warning of running short on essential supplies like oxygen and vaccines.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also imposed stricter measures ahead of Navratri celebrations.
