Users of Vodafone Idea (Vi) are seeing New Year cheers as the telecom company has announced the launch of a new unlimited data plan "Nonstop Hero."
Touted as India's first "truly unlimited data plan", Vodafone said that the Nonstop Hero plan will let users browse the internet "worry-free" for the entire validity period.
"Designed to address the issue of data quota exhaustion for prepaid customers, the Nonstop Hero Plan aims to offer a worry-free data experience throughout the entire validity period," Vi said in a release.
The plan offers unlimited data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS/day clubbed with OTT benefits, across a variety of recharge packs.

Vodafone Idea Unlimited Data Plan: Availability
The plan will initially be available in states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. There are several recharge plans under the Nonstop Hero package, designed to cater to the different needs of customers.

The company stated that India is undergoing a "digital revolution" and the Nonstop Hero plans to address the booming data demand in the country.
"According to a recent report by the Centre for Digital Economy & Policy Research, data consumption in India has grown by 288 times over the past decade. As per the TRAI annual report, backed by increased penetration of affordable smartphones, the number of internet subscribers in the country surged from 88.1 crore in March 2023 to 95.4 crore by March 2024 and average monthly data usage per user, reached 20.27GB as of March 2024," the company said.
