Tata Sons and Tata Steels have entered into a five-year alliance with IIT Madras, with focus on Advanced Materials as the primary area of research. They aim to set up a self-sustaining research centre.

Royal Society, U.K.

Tata Sons, JLR and TCS have set up a fellowship fund at the Royal Society U.K. Over the next ten years the fund will establish nine Tata University Research Fellowships in physical sciences and engineering.
