Abhishek Lodha, managing director of Macrotech Developers Ltd., stated that the company’s focus for the March quarter would be to maintain the presale-levels achieved in the December quarter, while continuing to uphold the highest standards of environmental, social, and governance practices.

"We have now hit 90% of our full year target for business development and in spite of heavy level of investment in land and business development, our debt has come down by over 15%," Lodha said, in a televised interview with NDTV Profit.

At end of this fiscal year, Macrotech expects to meet the presales target of Rs 17,500 crore, he said, while adding that the company's growth is anticipated to remain steady at around 20% year-on-year.

Macrotech Developers, formerly known as Lodha Developers, delivered strong numbers for the third quarter, with its profit surging by 87% and revenue rising 39%. The company reported a robust growth trajectory across multiple operational metrics, reflecting strong business momentum and operational efficiency.

Macrotech’s presales exceeded Rs 4,500 crore in the October-December period, with the embedded Ebitda out of the presales coming in at 35%, well ahead of the initial guidance of 30%. The company also saw a significant drop in debt, with its debt-to-equity ratio standing at just 0.2 times, much lower than the ceiling of 0.5, Lodha pointed out.

Ongoing Lodha Vs Lodha Dispute

Abhishek Lodha, during the conversation, addressed the ongoing dispute with his younger brother Abhinandan Lodha, which is currently being heard in the Bombay High Court. He emphasised that the legal matter is related to trademark infringement, and not a family dispute.

Lodha said that the family’s ownership and management were separated more than 10 years ago, with all agreements and arrangements in place regarding the use of the "Lodha" brand.

The company's reputation, built over 40 years, needed to be protected to avoid confusion among consumers, he said.

Lodha expressed his disappointment over the media's portrayal of the matter and reiterated that the dispute was purely about intellectual property rights and not about family relations. The legal process will take its course, he added.
