Billionaire investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was known as someone who believed in Indian entrepreneurs and backed domestic companies.
Jhunjhunwala, who invested in his wife Rekha's name, owns stakes worth around Rs 30,300 crore in various Indian listed companies, according to Bloomberg.
The market value has been calculated based on Aug. 12 closing prices.

Jhunjhunwala had himself invested in about 31 companies with stakes worth Rs 21,816 crore.
Through his wife, Jhunjhunwala holds Rs 8,479 crore worth of stakes in 18 companies, including at least 12 where he also owns a stake.
