Have ‘Very Strong’ Relationship With Ratan Tata, Says Starbucks’ Culver
Joint venture is on track to continue delivering strong growth: Starbucks president.

Starbucks Corp. is unfazed by the boardroom battle at its India partner, Tata group.
“We have had a very strong, long standing relationship with Tata, especially Ratan Tata and other senior leaders in the company and our joint venture is on track to continue delivering strong growth,” John Culver, the president of global retail at Starbucks told Bloomberg Radio.

Starbucks has opened over 80 stores in six Indian cities since it announced its partnership with Tata Global Beverages Ltd. in 2012. India “is growing faster on a percentage basis than any other region in the world,” Chief Executive Officer Howard Schultz said on a conference call in January.
Banking On India And China
Starbucks continues to localise its India offerings, with the help of its manufacturing facility in South India, Culver said. The U.S.-based coffee giant will make investments in India and China for long-term growth.
