Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year is expected to garner Rs 40 crore on its very first day at the box office, koimoi.com reported. The movie has opened to 95-100 per cent occupancy, it said.

The Happy New Year cast includes Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. The film has been directed by Farah Khan.
