Deloitte Adds Rajendra Nalam To Mergers And Acquisition Practice Team

Rajendra Nalam joined Deloitte's mergers and acquisition practice team, according to a press release on Friday.

Nalam's primary role will be with regards to the US-India corridor to drive collaboration between the leadership teams on complex cross-border transactions, inbound investments, global M&A and outbound expansion plans, the release stated.

Nalam has notable experience in the M&A field, with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, transaction tax, deal structuring, private equity and venture capital, and capital markets transactions, according to the release.

Over his career across corporate and consulting roles, he has steered some of the most complex cross-border transactions from concept to execution by combining deal expertise with a deep understanding of Indian tax and regulatory framework, the release said.

He has had professional experience across industries including fintech, real estate, energy, technology and media.

Nalam had previously served as senior vice president and head of investments for Paytm, based in Singapore. He was also a board member of Paytm Singapore. Prior to Paytm, he was a partner at KPMG.

Prior to joining up with Deloitte, Nalam ran Solys Capital, a boutique firm based in Singapore for the past six months, the release said.
