BGR Energy Systems Bags Rs 2,789-Crore Order
BGR Energy Systems has bagged the order from NLC India Ltd for its 1,980 MW plant in Ghatampur, UP.

New Delhi: BGR Energy Systems has bagged a Rs 2,788.60-crore order from NLC India Ltd for its 1,980 MW thermal power plant in Ghatampur, Uttar Pradesh.

"On November 21, 2016 Letter of Award (LoA) was issued to BGR Energy Systems, Chennai, for the balance of plant package (GA3 package) of Ghatampur power project (3x660 MW) of Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd (NUPPL), a subsidiary of NLC India Ltd (NLCI) to a value of Rs 2,788.60 crore," the company said in a filing to the BSE.

NLCI, jointly with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL), is setting up a 1,980 MW coal-based super critical thermal power plant at Ghatampur, Uttar Pradesh through its subisidiary firm NUPPL.

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd had on Monday said that it has bagged a Rs 3,675 crore EPC order from NLC India Ltd for setting up two lignite-based thermal power projects of 250 MW each in Rajasthan.
