Two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Wednesday reported a 3.3 per cent year-on-year jump in June auto sales.
Bajaj Auto said it sold 3,05,465 units of vehicles in the month of June 2014 as compared 2,95,749 units in the same month last year. Motorcycles sale grew 3 per cent to 2,62,202 units, while three-wheeler sales grew by 5 per cent to 43,263 units in June 2014.
Exports grew 12 per cent year-on-year to 1,35,074 units in the month of June. Bajaj Auto is India's largest two-wheeler exporter.
As of 10.10 a.m. shares in Bajaj Auto traded 0.96 per cent higher at Rs 2,357.20 compared to 0.82 per cent gain in Nifty.
