Axiscades Tech Begins To Deliver Drones To Indian Army

The company is providing 'Man Portable Counter Drone System', which can detect and jam a variety of drones within a range of up to 5 kilometres.

Axiscades Engineering Technologies Ltd. will deliver drone systems to the Indian army as part of an order worth Rs 100 crore, it said on Monday.

Known as the 'Man Portable Counter Drone System', the system can detect and jam a variety of drones within a range of up to 5 kilometres, according to the press release. It can also cover multiple frequency spectrums, including command, control and navigation.

Designed and developed in India, the MPCDS has the capability to operate on both battery and main power supply.

"This is the first Counter Drone System being inducted into the Indian Defence forces in the man portable category, and the system is being deployed at multiple locations across various commands in the Indian Army," said Arun Krishnamurthi, chief executive officer and managing director of Axiscades.

Bengaluru-based Axiscades is a leading end-to-end engineering and technology solutions provider catering to sectors like aerospace, defence, heavy engineering, automotive and energy, among others.

The company plans to strengthen its Counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle offerings with integrated sensors and neutralisation options.

"We aim to continue to innovate and provide advanced security solutions to meet the evolving needs of our armed forces," Krishnamurthi said.
