In a meeting with Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, unveiled plans for a massive investment to boost the state's industrial and infrastructure capabilities. The Adani Group has committed Rs 60,000 crore to expand its power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, with the aim of increasing the state's power generation capacity by 6,120 MW.

In addition to the power sector boost, Adani also announced a Rs 5,000 crore investment towards the development and expansion of the group's cement plants in the state.

Gautam Adani assured the Chief Minister of a Rs 10,000 crore commitment over the next four years for Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. This funding will be directed towards critical sectors such as education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism, addressing the state's pressing developmental needs.

The meeting also explored potential collaborations in advanced sectors such as manufacturing defence-related equipment and the establishment of state-of-the-art data centres and a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh. These initiatives are expected to create numerous job opportunities and accelerate the state's overall development.
